It all started when…

Paul and Jodie found a gap in the block management industry. They wanted to offer their personal touch which focuses on their motto of ‘professional, experience, integrity’ on the south coast.

Jodie has 19 years experience in the industry and holds the MIRPM and AssocRICS qualification and membership. She has worked with a variety of clients from individual freeholders, Right to Manage companies, social housing and investment companies. The types of buildings she has managed range from converted houses, purpose built blocks, commercial, mansion blocks and listed buildings.

Jodie decided to set up Sussex Block Management with her husband, Paul, to enable them to provide an efficient service to their clients by scaling back on the number of properties managed, and to offer an honest and professional approach.

Paul Simmons MSc, BSc (Hons) has been in the property industry since 2001 as a property investor, developer and manager of property portfolios across Bromley, Hayes, Brighton, Hove, Eastbourne, St Leonards and Hastings.

Working independently and with partners, Paul feels trust and integrity is what every property owner wants when someone is managing their property or properties.

The natural progression was to help others with professional and personal management for their personal property and portfolios.

As we have low overheads, this enables us to offer an extremely competitive management fee whilst providing all the services listed here . We are committed to complete transparency and any fees outside of our management are listed on our management agreement. Our fresh approach aims to bring back high standards and integrity to the industry/block management. Our strengths are our knowledge, experience and communication skills. We ensure that we don’t ‘overmanage’ ourselves by taking on too many buildings, we are about quality of service, not quantity of buildings and therefore ensure retention of our valued clients.

Over the years we have used a large number of contractors and suppliers, we therefore have access to trusted contractors for major works, general repairs, fire alarm contracts/maintenance, gardening, cleaning, insurance cover for the building and directors, lift contracts and maintenance, entry phones, electric gates, electricians, plumbers and so on.
