If you don’t have this in place then everything falls apart! It’s impossible to manage a building without sufficient funds and if these haven’t been forecast in advance, it is a very messy process.

At Sussex Block Management, we ensure that we start your management off with a budget in place where possible or that we get one in place as soon as we can in time for the next financial year. Our aim is to get the budget as close to actual figures as possible so that no extra funds are required from leaseholders throughout the year. Obviously, there are times where this is not always possible due to unforeseen repairs or maintenance that may take a large portion of the available service charge funds, however, this is where it is important to have a reserve fund in place where the lease allows.
