Arrears Management
We have a system in place for service charge funds that are not being paid by leaseholders. We will always do our best to communicate with the leaseholder regarding the non payment, however, should payment not be forthcoming, we will obtain our clients instructions as to how we approach the next steps.
Options for arrears management are discussed with our client and can either be by agreement to a payment plan or to pass the debt to solicitors for collection which is generally successful.
It is important to ensure funds are available and that everyone is paying their share so that the building is able to be managed effectively and any repairs and maintenance can be carried out as and when they come up.
